On April 15th, 2013 we released the debut from Almighty Sion, the young Englo-Irish duo of SertOne and Bolts.

Titled ‘The Beat Generation’ it’s a classic hip hop beat tape inspired by both the original 1950s Beat movement and the recent eponymous movement that has reinvigorated the hip hop scene, from Los Angeles to Tokyo via Glasgow.

The release was always meant to be heard as a two-part continuous mix, essentially like an old cassette would have been. So the only logical thing to do was to release it as such. ‘The Beat Generation’ is now available as a limited edition cassette, with white body, full colour sleeve with one flap and hand-stamped sticker. The cassette contains both continuous mixes as well as two bonus tracks unavailable in any other format. See photos of the cassette in the gallery above.

‘The Beat Generation’ cassette is available exclusively via the Original Cultures bandcamp for 6 Euros plus shipping (worldwide). You’ll receive an instant download of the release with the purchase.

Alternatively you can purchase ‘The Beat Generation’ in digital formats (including the continuous mixes) via all good online shops: iTunes, Boomkat, Amazon, Juno.
