Fabrizio ‘B.Kun’ Pollice, son of a professional musician, took his first steps into music at age 5 studying violin, percussion and guitar. Thanks to his love for music and electronics he started working in a recording studio at age 20, soon exhibiting his skills around Italy for the Native Instruments company, demonstrating their Traktor scratch software as well as Apple’s Logic and Digidesign’s Pro Tools.
In 2008 he took part in the scratch battle Gain Skills and DMC Killa Combar Skratch, placing second in both competitions. He produced, together with Y and Blaster, the Viene E Va Side B a hip pop project created by DJ Gruff that brought some of the best MCs on the Italian rap scene. He also took part in several other projects including Dare De Suka and Looperatori Italiani.
In 2009 his CD Al Cubo came out under the name Scratchbusters – which is B.kun, Drugo and PJ – and features Elisa massari (vocals) and DJ Gruff (scratch). The album also includes a scratch remix of Bobby McFerrin’s famous song, Don’t Worry Be Happy. In the same year he also featured on John Hed & Nik’s album, It’s All About Making Note, and alongside Drugo as Scratchbusters won both the Italian edition of the IDA championship and the world final, the first time a world title had been won by Italians.
